The HAMMOCK Basin

The Slimline and Mark II bathtub designs are available in the Oasis, Haven and Mirage. The new Mark II design in the Haven Hammock Bath also has a black powdercoat curved steel brace which nestles in behind the rear side and suspends between the two black powedecoat steel frames all provided. This allows the Haven to be a fully free standing model.

Slimline Hammock Baths and Mark II Hammock Baths are available in all current models Mirage, Oasis and Haven Hammock Baths.

MARK II HAMMOCK BATHTUB DESIGNS

The main difference between the two designs is the Mark II Hammock Bathtub depth is about 100mm – 125mm (4″ – 5″) deeper than the Slimline design depending which model.

Warranty
The Hammock Bath provides a 5 year manufacturers warranty against fading and cracking which could include bath replacement or repair depending on the circumstance. The Hammock Bath Company reserves the right to decide the appropriate action. The warranty for fading is void if the Hammock bathtub is installed outside, the cracking warranty still applies. If a Hammock Bathtub needs replacement then only the Bath will be provided and the customer will be required remove the existing bath and replace it with their own labour. The Hammock Bath Company does not supply any labour other than for a repair only.

Returns
Pre-order or backorders can not be refunded once the deposit has been paid. Any in stock purchase that has not been delivered can be refunded less a 25% restocking fee. If an order has been delivered then it can not be returned unless agreed by The Hammock Bath Company.

How much is a hammock bathtub?
The price ranges from $5000 to $8000 depending on the size, model, finish and framing.

How do hammock tubs drain?
To drain a hammock tub, once the tub is filled with a floor standing tap the wastewater can be emptied via opening the plug, which drains into downpipe concealed by a solid surface sleeve or pipe sleeve.

How do hammock baths work?
Hammock bathtubs work by being suspended between two walls, on a frame or freestanding on pedestal. This give the appearance of floating in the air like a hammock. It uses a standing tap to fill the bathtub and once finished the wastewater is emptied via the base and travels through the plug hole into a downpipe concealed by a solid surface sleeve or pipe sleeve matching the design style of the tub.

What is a hammock bathtub weight capacity?
The large hammock bathtub weight capacity is about 190 litres of water with a depth of 651mm. If you are in the USA the tub takes a weight limit of 50 gallons of water to fill the bath with a depth of 25.63 inches. In other words, to fill the 2-metre or 78.75″ bathtub, you will need to fill it with 190L of bath water or 50 gallons in the USA. The smaller 1800mm hammock bathtub needs 150 litres of water and has a depth of 586mm. In the United States of America, the weight capacity is 39.6g of water to fill the bathtub for the 70.86″ with a depth of 23.1 inches.

Does the hammock bathtub come with an overflow?
In the US The Hammock Bathtub does come with an overflow as this is generally a requirement throughout the US.
In Australia The Hammock Bath is available with overflow or no overflow.
